Who

My name is Janneke de Graaff. I am passionate about practising law, straightforward, focussed, and independent. My approach is clear and straightforward. Rather than promising clients the moon, I prefer to specify things as they are. Big words do not help clients, but straight answers and realistic solutions do. I am upfront about costs, so clients know what they are getting into.

I do not like half measures and prepare my cases well. This helps to assess a problem quickly, and to find a good solution. The litigation experience I have acquired over the past 20 years in the legal profession and the judiciary help me to best assess the opportunities in the courtroom and to use these where necessary.

I listen carefully to find out what motivates a client to determine the objective and the right strategy. I try to do that in an independent way. I am not a lawyer who ‘plays up’ to clients to acquire an assignment and make money. I maintain my added value as a lawyer by remaining objective and sharp.

My registration in the Netherlands Bar Association’s register of legal practice fields comprises Employment Law, and Landlord and Tenancy law, for residential and commercial properties. This registration requires lawyers to obtain ten training credits in each registered field of law every calendar year according to the standards of the Netherlands Bar Association.
